What you can do with connected apps

A connected AI app can work with the lessons and practice history already in your atode account. Instead of describing everything again in a prompt, you can ask naturally and let the app find the relevant material.

Find the right thing to practise

Try prompts such as:

  • “Show me my recent lessons and help me choose one to practise.”
  • “What is due for review today?”
  • “Find vocabulary about travel that I have studied before.”
  • “Which words from my latest lesson have I not practised recently?”
  • “I want to practise て-form. Find suitable vocabulary from my lessons.”

The app can look across entries, topics, vocabulary, and recent practice rather than giving a generic recommendation.

Build a focused practice plan

Once you choose a lesson or topic, ask the app to explore it and propose a small plan:

Read my latest lesson, choose eight useful words and one grammar point, then show me the practice plan before we begin.

It can also bring in related vocabulary from older lessons when that would reinforce the same topic.

Practise in the conversation

A connected app can run an atode practice session with you: choose targets, start the session, present the practice, record each result, and complete the session. Be specific about the style you want:

  • “Quiz me one word at a time and wait for each answer.”
  • “Have a short Japanese conversation using words from this lesson.”
  • “Give me example sentences and ask me to explain the grammar.”
  • “After the session, summarise what I should revisit.”

If you prefer to practise in atode itself, ask the app only to prepare the plan and then open atode to continue.

Create material at your level

The app can use your known-word list to keep new material familiar. For example:

Write a short Japanese story using mostly words I already know, then explain five unfamiliar expressions.

You stay in control

The app receives only the atode access you approve. Ask it to show a proposed plan before starting a session if you want to review the choices. Disconnect the app when you no longer want it to access your account.
